Production

We are specialised in fully automatic CNC milling up to five axis. We manufacture multi sided, complete three-dimensional prototypes, one-off pieces, and series of all sizes.

We work on a range of materials including, but not limited, to steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper alloys, special alloys, polymer and synthetic materials, and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics.

Our competences

Programming

All CNC Programming is done by using a CAD/CAM System. Our expertise allows us to replicate directly from the existing CAD-Model or construct from technical drawings.

By the Customer’s choice, all drawings are stored/backed-up, and access protected in our IT-System, providing the benefit of a quick/instant and convenient access to apply any possible Modification/Revision, prior to fulfilling any Repeat-Orders.


Machining Milling

We are specialised in fully automatic CNC machining up to five axis. 

Machining complete 3 dimensional Prototypes, One-Off Pieces, and ideally Batches of Components/Parts requiring one clamping position only, is mostly possible. 

Astonishing Geometrical-Shapes, accurate Tolerances, unsurpassed Cycle/Production time, all count for the most favourable results achievable with this machine. 

Our expertise includes machining of Exotic-Steels, Inox, Bronze, Copper-Alloys, Aluminium, Polymer & Synthetic Materials, Carbon-Fibre Reinforced Plastics too.


Wire Cutting

EDM is accredited with being a highly accurate machining-process for all conductive materials. 

Its various advantages include application after the heat-treatment process of steel, thereby eliminating any possible distortion to the Geometrical-Shape and Tolerances of the work-piece / component / jig / fixture. Any modifications / alterations can be applied also at a later date to any heat-treated parts.

Furthermore, thin components, which are extremely difficult to clamp in vices and chucks on chip-removing machines (danger of bending / breaking / distortion) can be simply tight down to the table-surface with minimum force.

Only an initial hole of 0.3mm in diameter needs to be present on the work-piece (pre-requirement) needed to feed the wire and start internal eroding. Our Small Hole Popper is a high speed small hole driller that machines difficult to cut carbide and heat-treated workpieces.


Turning

Available CNC and Conventional Lathes. Ready for Batch-Production as well as One-Off Pieces, our CNC-Lathes are built with additional C-axis, Turret-driven Rotating-Tools and fitted with a 3000mm Bar-feeder up to ø42mm max.


Grinding

We utilize high-precision cylindrical and surface-grinding machines. The machines are suitable for processing small to medium-sized parts.

To handle external-grinding of various complex contours and angles, our Multi-axis Machine is deployed, which guarantees an excellent grinding-finish, accuracy and consistent stability of the dimensions.


Cylindrical Honing

Our machines are accommodating bore-sizes from ø1-60mm, and produces highest surface-quality, equal-cylindrical shape and form, all with an accuracy of 0.001mm/1µm.

The classical criss-cross pattern left by honing assists the lubrication and glide function. 

For Batch-Production Cubic-Borazon or Diamond Stones, offering minimal wear and tear. Superior extended life-span are available. It’s application on honing Bearing and Cylinder-Bushes is mainly known. We repair and rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic and engine cylinders too.


Lapping Machine

By deploying this Finishing-Process, mainly on the surfaces of sliding parts, we do achieve the requirement of an even and equal surface-quality. Minimal tolerances (up to IT-1) and a surface-quality of 0.0001mm/0.1µm can therefore be guaranteed and maintained.


Surface Treatment and Coating

We do shot blast with glass balls and corundum of work-pieces for: removal of oxidation and corrosion after EDM operation; cleaning operation; improvement of the density and surface hardness; cosmetic appearance.


Assembly Service

Upon manufacturing the components, we offer to assemble Gadget and Instruments.

By maintaining a close relationship with the Customer’s Project-Team, we advise on any necessary alterations and possible improvements, to enhance the quality and performance of the devices built by LEIKO SA.
